Christina's Vision for Caledon

I am excited to be running for the newly created Regional Councillor position for Wards 1, 2, and 3 which includes over half of Caledon.

Four years ago, I was honoured to be elected as the Area Councillor for Ward 2 through the support of friends and neighbors.  It has been a privilege to serve the residents of Caledon, and specifically, my Ward 2 community where much work was accomplished. During this challenging time, I worked on your behalf to resolve the issues that concerned you the most in your communities.

As your appointed Alternate member for Regional Council, I sought to bring clarity to a broader vision for ALL of Caledon by fostering new relationships at all levels of government and in the community by supporting various community-led associations and Boards of Directors. I believe these experiences coupled with my dedication and commitment to integrity make me the clear choice for Regional Councilor, Wards 1,2,3 for the next four years.

Caledon is expected to have significant growth over the next 30 years, which means that we will need a strong and sustainable Caledon-centric long-term vision for ALL Residents and ALL Communities that make up our beautiful Town. There is much work to be done both at the Municipal and Region level and when elected, I will ensure your voice is heard!!

Traffic Safety

Increase Community Safety Zones, Optimize Traffic Signals, Install Radar Speed signs, Red Light Cameras and foster enhanced OPP presence to ensure stronger speed enforcement measures for everyone’s safety.  Continuing the fight against illegal trucking and managing truck traffic safely is also crucial.

Protecting our Environment

Even as we experience growth, it’s imperative we build a sustainable and resilient Caledon by implementing community-wide Development Standards and a plan for net zero emissions by 2050. We must protect our natural assets and keep Caledon 80% Green.

Creating a Healthy, Safe and Inclusive Community

Across each of our communities we must continue to celebrate what unites us. Let’s share our diversity by celebrating together with multicultural events, and parades, honouring special holidays and uniting behind both what makes us unique and what makes us Canadian.

Expansion of Indoor and Outdoor facilities

You’ve asked and I’m listening. Leash-free dog parks, increased seating at outdoor parks, swimming facilities for all Wards and community ice rinks in winter are just some of the requests our residents have put forward. We’ve started the work, let’s focus on finishing it!

Roads, Infrastructure and Transportation

Creating opportunities for residents and visitors alike to travel safely throughout Caledon whether by car, bike, public transportation, walking or even by horseback!
